Purpose of the Associate / Asset Manager:

Provide a wide range of asset management and workout services to the Asset Management/Special Servicing team to facilitate the achievement of department goals and objectives. The individual will have a strong loan and real estate asset management skills as well as valuation experience and skills for sub-performing and non-performing loans.

Essential Functions:

- Ability to guide foreclosure and forced administration proceedings
- Experienced in collateral valuation and risk assessment - Broad knowledge of real estate valuation according to German and international valuation standards
- Experience in sales of real estate assets by foreclosure and voluntary sale
- Ability to negotiate with borrowers, guarantors, insolvency and forced administrators, brokers, interested purchasers and tenants
- Ability to perform contract review
- Ability to prepare business plans
- Ability to prepare budgets
- Ability to formulate workout, exit and resolution strategies
- Ability to underwrite Non Performing Loan acquisitions - Ability to create value by using innovative marketing strategies
- Ability to analyze and verify loan servicing data input and reporting Ability to perform real estate and debt due diligence and underwriting
- Ability to perform site inspections
- Ability to perform cash flow analysis of loan and real estate positions
- Ability to provide indicative commercial property valuations

Essential Key Responsibilities:
- Developing workout, exit and resolution strategies
- Implementing business plans and monitoring progress - Client reporting

Summary:

Provide high level of workout and asset management expertise to the Asset Management/Special Servicing team and clients through successful resolution and disposition of real estate collateral. Also help client relations and provide a high quality work product

Detail:

- Maintain files
- Strong knowledge of Pan European markets with emphasis on Germany Review, investigate and understand market making transactions
- Contact and take instructions from clients as required - Prepare NPL / Real Estate Resolution Business Plans
- Prepare collateral evaluations for loans supported by securities or other acceptable types of collateral
- Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate „face to face‟ as a team player
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Work experience requirements:

- 5+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate
- Basic understanding of Red Book valuations and German valuation methodology
- Pan European Real Estate Experience with emphasis on Germany
- Workout/Non Performing Loan experience

Skills:
- Fluency in English and German
- Excellent reading and comprehension skills
- Be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal in both German and English
- Analytical skills to understand complex commercial loan documents and borrower financial statements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task Preferably work experience in both Germany and the UK

Computer Skills Requirements:

- Advanced knowledge of the following is required: MS Office Suite including Outlook and Excel.
- Thorough familiarity with internet for research etc.
- PowerPoint
